Work visa
Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV): a practical guide
The AEWV is a work visa route for people with a genuine job offer from an accredited New Zealand employer.
What must be in place
The employer must hold the right accreditation and have completed the required Job Check for the role. The position, pay, hours and employment terms must meet the immigration instructions that apply when the application is assessed.
Evidence to prepare
Applicants commonly need a passport, signed employment agreement, job offer, evidence of qualifications or experience where required, and health and character documents. Immigration New Zealand may request additional information depending on the occupation and circumstances.
Before you apply
Check that the job description reflects the actual duties, that all information is consistent, and that the evidence supports the role and the applicant's background. Rules and wage thresholds can change, so confirm the current instructions before lodging.
